Stress and challenges are part of living a full life. How you manage these challenges makes the difference between suffering and engagement in solving the problems that lead to depression and anxiety. That means building skills that help you live the kind of life that is meaningful and facing the issues that are leading you away from your best self. My hope is to focus on how to help you help yourself.
My background is in Clinical Social Work and I have been trained in a variety of methods for both children and adults within the Cognitive Behavioral tradition. I am trained in EMDR, a treatment for trauma symptoms. I have extensive experience with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and I have a family focused approach to treating children.
I became a therapist as a second career after raising a family. I have a strong and personal interest in advocating for the mentally ill and developmentally challenged.
