About
After working over 24 years in the field of social work, I recognize my energy and desire lies in clinical practice. My particular interests in the last 15 years have also addressed other areas beyond general mental health. This includes clients who struggle with food and eating issues, body image disturbance, and negative self image. In addition, the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic has brought a new appreciation to the importance of therapy, and the recognized need for others to say that they need help.
Treating mental health issues-from depression to eating disorders and more-requires training, experience, and continued commitment in clinical practice. I continue to learn from the "old school" therapists, new colleagues and clients to further my clinical skills.
There are many occasions when one specific treatment modality may not help a particular client. I feel confident that I can explore other evidence based treatment options that may be helpful for clients in their path to achieve their respective goals in therapy.
