I work with individuals, couples, and families on a variety of issues including: parenting and school issues, TAG, underachievement, and learning disabilities; trauma healing; healthy communication; relationship dynamics; anxiety and depression; and chronic illness. People do the best they can at any given time. Sometimes life brings challenges which can overwhelm an individual's, couple's or family's resources. I work with clients to assess their current situation, identify goals, and develop strategies to meet those goals in a timely manner. My clients find ways to supplement existing coping skills and develop new approaches to replace ineffective strategies.
We all share the desire to be happy, to have healthy relationships, and to experience clarity of thought and feelings of empowerment. I use a variety of techniques to help my clients find a path, suited to their unique situation and style, to achieve the goals which they feel are most important in their lives.
Whether the situation is an acute or chronic one, I work in a collaborative manner to help my clients develop workable solutions and find the hope, motivation and energy to implement them.
