My specialty is trauma. I love to journey with people to help them learn how to live free and full lives. Life is filled with many anxieties, trials, traumas, and obstacles which can create patterns that hinder us from thriving. When we experience trauma, our brain and body create adaptive or maladaptive patterns to cope with trauma. My goal is to partner with my clients to identify the problems, create effective goals, and increase healthy cognitive, emotional, and behavioral skills in order to decrease symptoms and develop healthy coping tools. I provide Christian counseling to those seeking support from a faith based perspective.
My specialties include trauma, anxiety, women’s issues, adjustment struggles, grief and loss, premarital and marital counseling, family members effected by addiction, spiritual formation, and church related issues. I primarily work with young adult and adult clients. I am specifically trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR 1 & 2.
