About
I have worked in group practice settings, community mental health centers, and have spent most of my career working with youth and their families in therapeutic day school settings. I work closely with my clients to identify triggers and patterns, and set realistic goals for change. I enjoy working with clients of all ages, and I am often sought out for treating high-risk adolescents, clients with low self-image, children demonstrating emotional irregularity, and clients navigating relationship issues (peer or romantic). As an inclusive psychologist, I welcome clients of all backgrounds and belief systems.
I use a holistic and strength based approach, often looking at, not only the client, but also the systems at play in the client's life. The relationship formed between myself and my clients is built on trust and transparency, as well as honest reflection of how all parts are at play in a client's struggle. Empowerment is a key component to change.
I strongly believe that all client issues are relevant, despite how big or small. Often people judge their problems as being "too small" for therapy, or as being "too difficult" to manage. It is important to note that therapy can be an amazing experience of insight and understanding with the right clinician. Let me know how I can help.
