Hi there, I'm Kathryn! I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and National Certified Counselor. My approach to therapy is relaxed, authentic, warm, and understanding. I use a mix of theoretical approaches focusing on the importance of the counseling relationship - I believe you know you best. I recognize therapy takes vulnerability and courage - I am here to sit with you and support you.
I typically work with clients feeling overwhelmed and stuck; individuals adjusting to different seasons of life; and clients working on personal growth. I have experience working with high school adolescents in the school setting, including their experiences with interpersonal relationships, stress, grief, and communication.
My communication style is warm, nonjudgmental, and welcoming. I recognize the importance of feeling safe, heard, and understood in the therapeutic setting - I have been described as laidback and easy to talk to. I appreciate and invite humor; I am also here to normalize tears that may come in sessions.
