Kathryn is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social worker and Licensed Master Addictions Counselor. She believes that healing is a joint effort that involves caring without judgement. As a therapist, she is warm, open, encouraging, and direct. She combines experience, education, and humor. She encourages individuals to build on their own personal strengths and experiences to reinvent themselves to overcome difficulties and move forward to a new direction in life.
Kathryn is experienced in a variety of therapy settings including group therapy, community mental health, and substance disorders. Through her work, she is committed to assisting people overcome addictions, trauma, depression, life transitions, anxiety, and other stresses that affect all of us at some point in our lives.
My philosophy and approach toward therapy is based on the belief that every person has the capacity to grow and make positve changes in their life. Through a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship I can assist and help each person build upon their unique strengths in order to achieve their goals.
