Relationships are one of the most important aspects to me when working with others and through life. I believe we find ourselves in various relationships throughout our days, weeks and lives. I taught elementary school for four years and had the chance to work with children and their families in a different aspect. My philosophy gradually changed to wanting to help families and children with their relationships and began my career with mental health. My current philosophy appears to involve getting to know one another on the client’s time.
I choose to focus on aspects of one’s life when they are ready and willing to identify goals and work towards them. Therapy comes with a lot of emotions and I work with clients to make those emotions feel most comfortable. My clinical interests involve working with those that are experiencing grief, loss and all aspects of trauma.
Whether you are family or other supports, I choose to take that time to assess needs for all. Through COVID-19, I believe we have all experienced grief and I hope to work with those processing changes in life that may have brought. I am available virtually on a weekly basis and looking forward to meeting you wherever you are located in the state of Colorado.
