I believe it is an honor to be able to work with clients during particularly challenging periods of their lives. I believe God has a purpose and a plan for each of us. Sometimes we need a time of reflection and evaluation of our perspectives to be able to move forward. Seeds of depression and anxiety can be hindering God’s best for our lives. The great news is that these can be overcome.
My therapeutic approach is tailored specifically to each individual. I believe God wants to renew our minds and one technique I use is based in Theophostic Prayer that allows for the renewal and transformation of the client's perspective. In addition I use commonly understood models of CBT and DBT as it pertains to the clients well being.
I obtained a Masters in Social Work and Business from the University of Houston in 2000 and later became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am a single mother, and God has blessed me with two wonderful (most days) children – one by birth and one through adoption. We have two dogs and one bird and love spending time together.
