I am specially trained for working with adult clients (18 and older) who are struggling with or in recovery from eating disorders (including co-occurring diagnoses). I also serve clients whose lives are affected by someone with an eating disorder. It is common for people who have had an eating disorder, to find that transitions challenge their recovery process, so I find fulfillment in supporting people who are navigating life transitions: tackling the college experience, embarking on a new career, becoming a parent, empty-nesting, or encountering a less-expected transition such as grief or a relationship ending.
A therapeutic relationship must be built on warmth, empathy, genuineness, unconditional regard and trust. Using a HAES philosophy, I employ evidence-based techniques to tailor my approach to help you understand how your concerns developed and what is perpetuating them. I then support you in accepting or making changes that align with your values and goals.
I offer a free initial phone call during which time we can explore if I'm a good fit to help you reach your goals. I'm happy to answer any questions you have about therapy and help you feel ready to begin this process. You're welcome to send me an email with any questions you may have!
