Coming from Mexican-American heritage, I recognize the role heritage plays in shaping our lives. I work with people to bring them more in tune with this aspect of themselves and offer an opportunity for you to know your interior, psychic life by engaging with what Jung described as the “dynamic” unconscious. The unconscious references those parts split off from our conscious selves, yet these play an active role in our awakened life, influencing our thoughts, emotional states, and behaviors. I have dedicated the majority of my life working with and from this regenerative inner resource Jung calls psyche, enriching lived experience.
Therapy is a deeply meaningful journey of engaging with the complexity and mystery of who we are in order to solve life’s practical problems and open up new possibilities. One of my favorite quotes is from Joseph Cambell: “We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.” Re-engaging the world with new eyes.
Our work together is reparative and creative, a heart exploration to uncover and refine all aspects of the self. Jung understood analysis as both the analyst and analysand being transformed in this collaborative process. Treatment modalities include: Jungian analysis, developmental theory, dream work, breath work, dream journaling, writing and art therapy.
