My work focuses on learning how past decisions, ineffective thoughts and belief systems are affecting your current functioning. I called my therapy business, Caring Connection, because I believe healthy interpersonal connections are so important in our lives. We have to understand how to develop connections that bring us joy and satisfaction.
I work with clients to help them understand what from their past/present is currently affecting their functioning. Without understanding what has happened to us, it is hard to identify why we are in distress. After understanding why the past is affecting us, we learn how to develop skills to cope, communicate, do self care and build community.
Everyone wants to enjoy and use their gifts and talents. Through therapy, people can develop skills, abilities and talents that have not been developed. We are not meant to be in isolation but in community. Everyone's story deserves to be heard and understood.
