Life can present us with many challenges and I look forward to facing them together. I work from a holistic, strengths-based perspective. I allow time and space for each individual I work with to develop their own processing experience, while always providing active listening skills imbued with empathy and compassion for each and every individual's experience. I am a Certified Therapist in EMDR, and am able to provide resources to help individuals understand what happens to our brains when we experience trauma, and share tools to assist in processing and integrating the traumatic life event.
I have worked with many individuals of varying ages, that have been exposed to violence, both in their homes and in the community, as well as to significant traumatic events in their lifetime. I utilize mindfulness techniques and introduce guided imagery to address certain symptoms that you might be facing.
My professional life experience, both in the theater, and in the field of social work, has afforded me much exposure to many different perspectives, and I welcome your life story as we explore aspects of it together, while discovering the best approach to your healing journey.
