Kathleen L. Niegocki
Psychologist, PhD
My goal is to help you feel empowered to live a more authentic, connected, and joyful life. I am a licensed psychologist providing individual therapy for adults. I love helping people who are experiencing stressful life transitions, difficulties in relationships, problems with work-life balance, poor self-esteem, perfectionism, and loss (including death of a parent). I work with many people who feel stuck because of unhelpful patterns or past traumas. My style is warm, active, genuine, and collaborative. I believe the foundation of successful therapy is a relationship in which you feel safe, respected, understood, and appreciated.
I may integrate a variety of techniques to help you develop new tools for coping with difficulty, understand and change your thinking and relationship patterns, become kinder to yourself, and get to know previously cut-off feelings and parts of yourself.
I have 10 years of experience working in university counseling centers and helping people with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, disordered eating, body image, and identity. I have evening availability. I also work full time in a college counseling center.
