I am a board-certified clinical child and adolescent psychologist with over 20 years of experience treating children, adolescents, and young adults for a broad array of issues, with special expertise in anxiety, mood disorders, and pediatric psychology (children/adolescents living with medical illness). I use evidence-based interventions, drawing strongly from cognitive behavioral, trauma informed, and dyadic (parent-child) relational approaches to develop individualized, effective treatment plans. Treatment goals are identified in collaboration with clients, and I strive to meet these goals in a short-term, efficient manner.
I received my PhD in clinical psychology from Virginia Tech and completed internship and fellowship training in clinical child/pediatric psychology at UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. My work experience includes my role as an attending psychologist at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and a faculty appointment in Pediatrics at the USC Keck School of Medicine.
I am currently accepting a limited number of clients for in person treatment at my office in Pasadena, or telehealth treatment to clients in California. I am available on evenings and weekends only. I offer a brief phone consultation at no charge so that we can determine if I am the right therapist for your needs.
