About
Are you struggling with sadness, anxiety or depression? Is communication a problem in your relationship? Have the wounds and hurt experienced as a child held you back? I have been practicing psychotherapy for over 20 years to adolescents and adults. I have worked in substance abuse treatment centers with dual-diagnosis clients, public school systems providing counseling to adolescents as well as their parents. I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work at Barry University in Miami, Florida.
My therapy approach is supportive with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques such as relaxation training, mindfulness, changing negative thinking patterns and learning to set healthy limits in relationships. Moving forward in a way that supports who you are and what you want to be.
My therapeutic style is warm and supportive, with focus on helping clients achieve the changes they wish to make in their lives and the patterns that no longer work for them.I have recently began to offer telehealth/video counseling as an option. Research shows they can be just as effective as in-person appointments.
