My ideal client is anyone who is in need of help and support. I always struggle with the question of my "ideal client" because I don't think that is what being a therapist is about. It is my job to meet each client where they are at and walk forward with them in their journey. If you are a human on this earth who is struggling and wants support, you are my ideal client.
My background is in substance use, trauma, and maternal mental health. I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which is similar in ways to EMDR and other eye-movement based trauma treatments. I take an eclectic approach to treatment as one approach does not meet the needs of every person.
Reaching out to a therapist is really hard. It is an uncomfortable thing to admit to a stranger some of the things in your life that, at times, you struggle to admit to yourself. You know yourself. You know how to heal. My job is to walk with you on your journey to wellness. No one has to do this alone.
