Life. is. hard. Full of pain. In the midst of it, we are critical of ourselves, feeling alone when we make mistakes. It's like we forget we are human. There is a way to accept where we are at while staying accountable for personal change. I encourage clients to learn to work with themselves instead of against, giving them a space to explore who they are, and to learn to trust themselves.
My practice is based out of a family farm which gives clients opportunities to be with nature and animals. We offer animal-assisted therapy with cows, which we affectionately call "cownseling." Our therapy cows have a deep bond with humans. They are grounded and can help us do the same.
Taking a look at ourselves and deciding we need help takes a lot of courage. But we all deserve to say the things we haven't yet said, to better understand ourselves, and to make sense of what life has handed us.
