Counselor, MA, EdM, LMHC
Katherine Schafler is not currently accepting new clients.
-- Practice currently full; unfortunately I'm not taking new patients -- I work with people who can present really well, seem completely put together when they want to be, and whose problems are not immediately apparent to others. I believe therapy works best when it's a collaborative process, thriving on the mutual trust and respect between therapist and client. I don't believe in practicing from a distance -- I bring my real self into the room in a warm, honest, supportive and direct way. I earned my BA in Psychology from UC Berkeley before completing my clinical training and graduate work at Columbia University.
In addition to my private practice work, I've been called upon as an emotional health expert in a series of popular publications, including TIME, Forbes, ELLE, Glamour, Good Housekeeping, Fast Company, Huffington Post, MSN, etc.
I always encourage people to take their time and trust their instincts when looking for the right therapist. Go ahead and check out my website to see if you think I'd be a good fit for you.
