Many of my clients are perfectionists, doers, care-takers, hard-workers, or achievers. They readily see the needs of others but do not always slow down for their own needs. This may exhibit as symptoms of anxiety, overwhelm, rage, depression, or numbness. While many may have high emotional intelligence, they do not know how to experience their emotions fully. I find that people do not need my advice- you are quite proficient at many things. My clients need my presence. I bring both softness and strength; because good therapy is gentle but also does not fear any emotion that may come.
In the safety of a connected relationship, you are never alone. Whether in person or virtually, I provide presence and attunement so that therapy is more "being with" rather than "talking about." Using AEDP, my work focuses on relational safety, attachment patterns, and here-and-now emotional processing that helps you connect with what you truly need.
