Many people feel they must carry their trauma and pain alone. You don't have to. I gently and somatically help my clients understand patterns of behaviors and beliefs which have kept them locked in lives and relationships they do not find satisfying or fulfilling. Many people want to change their patterns, but can't move beyond them to healthier ways of being in their lives, their relationships, and in their bodies. I use EMDR combined Internal Family Systems to unlock your strengths and resources as we explore both your present life and past experiences.
I believe it is important to be aware of what is happening in the whole person. The body and mind hold trauma, anxiety, and sadness, as well as joy and unrecognized resources and strengths. Using EMDR and IFS skills to understand and work with these feelings can lead to increased emotional stability, distress tolerance, and a more positive and healthy life.
Trauma can look and feel like many different things. It can have an impact on behaviors that lasts far beyond the actual traumatic event or time period. My goal is to help my clients move beyond these events, memories and feelings by creating a safe space to uncover and process difficult and painful feelings, behaviors and experiences.
