Katherine “Katie” Kirkholder (pronouns: she/her) is an experienced clinical intern with CT status who works with adults, adolescents, and children. She is studying to become a licensed professional counselor and art therapist. Her specialty interests include: mood and personality disorders, depression, anxiety, coping skills, trauma, self-harm, girls’ and women’s issues, and overall health and wellness. She utilizes treatment approaches that are uniquely tailored to each client.
Katie graduated from Ohio University in 2021 with her bachelor’s degree in studio art and a minor in psychology. She is currently in pursuit of earning her master’s degree in counseling and art therapy at Ursuline College. She is set to graduate in Spring of 2024.
Katie currently favors a holistic, person-centered approach to counseling. Meaning, she believes that one must look at the whole person to provide quality care. This includes their physical, mental, emotional, social, career, and spiritual well-being.
