Therapy can be confusing and challenging, but my style is built upon safety, nurturance, warmth, and trust that my clients already have the strength to change- I am here to provide the tools and language. My approach to therapy is rooted in understanding how a person’s history has shaped how they view the world, by stories we have been told and tell ourselves. We all have the power to change, with the right support systems in place. I have experience working with life transitions as a young adult, teenage relational conflict, family sessions, marital conflict, attachment issues, and men’s issues.
When working with children and teens I lean primarily on play therapy to use expressions that are safe and accessible beyond traditional talk therapy.
When working with couples, I aim to work on communication skills, identification of negative patterns, trust building, childhood exploration, emotional connection building, and issues around sexuality.
