Perhaps there was a clear moment that you realized that things will never be the same, or maybe over time you noticed that things just don’t seem right anymore. Emotions feel unmanageable, thoughts seem to take over, and you no longer can do the things that once gave you joy. Whether it’s your own experiences, or your child’s, you just know that it’s time to seek support and guidance. It is my passion to help people navigate those difficult feelings that are getting in the way of them living a fulfilling life. I truly believe that each person has the potential for amazing growth and healing, even if they don’t believe it themselves.
I primarily work with children and their parents to learn new ways of coping with difficult emotions and stressors. Using the childs' true language of play, children are able to feel heard and understood which gives them the ability to heal and grow. I believe that parents are the true experts on their children, and all they need is support and guidance.
I also work with teens and adults providing a safe and comfortable space to explore their inner worlds and learn new ways to cope with today’s challenges. I do my best to make therapy fun, spontaneous and interesting. Ask for Katherine at Emerge when you're ready to start healing!
