Dr. Katherine Alouani is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with individuals and conducing a variety of psychological assessments. She believes that an important part of the therapeutic process is the fit between the client, therapist, and method. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy offers a therapeutic base and guides us to find the method that works for you. A native to the Cleveland area, Dr. Alouani received her Master's degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Cleveland State University and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Her training included a wide variety of settings as well as experience in forensics.
Her residency at the Cleveland VA advanced her work with trauma, substance abuse, and severely mentally ill populations. The interventions were geared toward the children as well as their foster parents and birth families.
