I work with a wide variety of clients – people with depression or anxiety, with histories of trauma, LBGTQ+ people, survivors of domestic violence, neurodiverse folks with ADHD, and lots of other people as well. I've also worked with folks of various different ethnicities, cultures, and personal backgrounds. At the heart of it, what really matters is someone willing to connect with me, in whatever way possible right then, and in the future. I’m an eclectic therapist, which pretty much means I use what’s effective and take from a variety of sources, all in service to helping people recover, grow, change, and blossom.
Originally from the humanistic model, I value the therapeutic connection. Over time, I've expanded my toolbox with intellectually appealing models like CBT, as well as those engaging different mind/body dynamics such as DBT, mindfulness, expressive arts, and play therapies, which connect with various parts of the brain, body, and spirit.
The thing with therapy is, you're the expert in your own life. That's important to remember. But what's also important is the alchemical mixture of the client and the therapist, of me and you, together, making something unexpected and better out of whatever brought you into this office.
