My name is Katerin Chavez and I specialize in working with clients who have faced different traumas in their lives. I believe in working with the client and that the client can heal in a safe and caring space. I have experience working with trauma, domestic violence, sexual trauma, anxiety, depression, women's issues, and immigration concerns/traumas to name a few. Therapy is a safe space free of judgement where we will work together to reach the client's goals. I speak both English and Spanish.

I am trained in the TIR (trauma incident reduction) model which helps clients process their trauma through a form of exposure therapy. This technique is brief and helps lessen the charge from each traumatic incident. I use solution focused therapy to help clients reach their goals. I am also person centered and incorporate mindfulness techniques.

Whether you are facing a trauma or another difficult time in your life, dealing with symptoms of anxiety or depression, or just need someone to talk to, therapy can help equip you with the skills while we work together to help you feel better again.
