My name is Alex Rentel. I have been a counselor since 2019, but have been in the mental health field in other roles since 2017. I have worked with many humans from diverse backgrounds with a range of struggles. I enjoy listening to stories, whether from another person or from an audiobook. I teach yoga and enjoy being outside when the weather is nice. I am a mother and a wife, and believe that my life experiences help make me the therapist that I am.
You will receive a rundown of information about confidentiality and its limits, important policies within the practice and therapeutic relationship, assessments completed before the first session, etc.
I bring myself into the therapy room because I believe that helping provide a safe space for someone else to bring their full self in the room, a real-life human is what is best to do so.
