My current availability is mornings on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday and lunch time on Wednesday. My experience is primarily working with adults with ADHD and/or trauma. I love to help clients with ADHD build systems to help with executive dysfunction challenges and meet them head on. As a person with ADHD myself, I understand the unique challenge of feeling like you're fighting your brain to make things happen. I have also trained in providing EMDR therapy to help reprocess traumatic experiences and negative thoughts. Trauma means different things to different people, but whatever it means to you is valid.
I think it's often helpful to focus on what's happening right now, day to day, first then move into the deeper roots or causes. It's similar to digging a hole in the sand, you can make it work, but a lot of sand is likely to fall in while you're working. If we can build in some tools or skills to help keep that sand in place we can dig more effectively.
My goal is to help people to build progress toward their goals, regardless of what those look like. Building strong relationships is the foundation of good therapy. I have a relaxed conversational style and try to balance curiosity, flexibility, collaboration and even humor when appropriate. I look forward to meeting you.
