Dr. Fortunati specializes in working with children from age 3 to young adulthood who have experienced or are experiencing trauma, attachment disorders, complicated grief, ambiguous loss through parental (or a loved ones) incarceration, divorce, deployment, and/or parental (or a loved ones) addiction, and self-harm/suicidality. She has extensive experience working with traditional and nontraditional caregivers through parenting and co-parenting as well as working with and advocating for children in Special Education within a public school setting.
Dr. Fortunati’s passion centers around being able to help children & their families navigate through traumatic life experiences & other childhood transitions. Dr. Fortunati has trained in several different modalities in order to help this process: Trauma-Focused CBT, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, & more.
