Hello! My name is Kate Wise & I have been working in the mental field for approximately ten years. My professional experience has been in various therapeutic settings, focusing on supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate their transition to adulthood. Through these experiences, I have cultivated an understanding of how an individual functions within the context of their immediate environment, as well as within larger structural systems. I incorporate these principles into couples work as well, utilizing a systems perspective to enhance client's understanding of how social constructs may be informing their dynamics.
As such, I approach clinical work through a relational, integrative and anti-oppression paradigm, always bearing in mind the importance of identity and intersectionality within the clinical process. I am particularly passionate about providing services to the queer community, though I welcome folks of any gender identity or sexual orientation.
