My work as a clinician is grounded in establishing a safe, supportive, and nurturing co-created environment. We all struggle at times and sometimes having help is necessary to find calm, balance, or growth. Each client brings their own unique strengths and challenges. Together we develop a plan to help you move toward your goals. My counseling is informed by my work with students with special needs, families in transition, my training in yoga and mindfulness, and my work with men and women who experienced domestic violence. I use a trauma informed, person-centered approach in which clients feel safe, heard, and valued.
My approach with each client will be centered on their individual needs. This may include mindfulness, EMDR, poly vagal theory, art, and trauma resolution practices. I have been privileged to work with children, teens, and adults. I enjoy supporting my clients in their journey through life’s challenges, such as grief and transition.
From my experience in schools, agencies, support groups, and shelters, I know our burdens become lighter when we feel we have been heard and seen. Sharing your story and discovering that you are not alone can be a relief. From there we can develop healthy changes that help you feel whole and empowered.
