About
I’m not your typical therapist. I am dynamic in the sense that I’ve been trained in many different evidenced-based models, theories, and techniques, but the therapy that I provide derives from what is needed most by the client sitting in front of me. I do not “follow the rules” of conventional talk therapy. I’m fun, energetic and real. I don’t mind being direct when necessary, and I think it’s okay to sometimes disclose information about myself; after all, the passion and interest that I have for helping others is directly related to my lived experience of trying to ground myself in an unsettled world.
I try to stay away from using typical therapy lingo; I trust my clients will tell me how they feel on their own because they see me as being human and authentic, therefore allowing them to feel the same. I work from an attachment-based framework, and also incorporate the IFS model and am a Level 1 trained EMDR therapist.
I’m looking for clients who are willing take a plunge into unknown territory; clients who are willing to be vulnerable and patient as we work through therapy together; and clients who understand that in order to make progress, change has to happen. Above all, clients who will trust that I will be there for/with them throughout this journey.
