I am trained in cognitive behavioral and psychoanalytic treatment modalities and consider psychotherapy as both an opportunity to address and reduce suffering, and to engage in a process of personal education. My practice focuses on patients who are seeking an alliance in addressing their concerns and suffering as well as patients who are seeking and willing to re-learn and engage in self-exploration toward the ends of better adjustment, understanding and awareness.
I am a certified psychoanalyst trained at the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis and clinical psychologist in independent practice working with adults, adolescents, and children in Boston and Central Massachusetts. My professional life of over 26 years has been devoted to improving the lives of others through clinical work and community service.
I specialize in long-term psychoanalytically oriented therapy. I also work in short-term solution-focused and strength-based, intermittent formats.
