Hi, I'm Kate. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and have been working in the counseling field since 2010. I enjoy working with couples, individuals, and families. My therapeutic focuses are Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Relationship Issues, Self Esteem, and Substance Use. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Couples Therapy, Relational, Structural Family Therapy, and Grief Therapy. I like the therapeutic goals to be determined collaboratively with myself and the client. I believe in creating a space where we can have difficult conversations and work on resolving issues.
I will be open and flexible to meet your needs. I will always be happy to adjust my approach if you need more or less of anything from our session. I will maintain eye contact, give encouraging words, and ask relevant questions while being warm & non-judgmental during our sessions.
I usually start the first session by learning a little about the person and what they think is vital for me to know. I believe the most crucial factor in making change is your ability to trust the person you are working with.
