It’s normal to feel ambivalent about recovery. Maybe you’ve found yourself looking for relief, but afraid of all recovery entails. Perhaps your experience has been minimized by those around you and now you tell yourself “it’s not bad enough” to warrant help. It can feel daunting to think of overhauling your life or giving up something that, at times, still provides comfort. I get it. I know what it’s like to be torn between the comfort of what is familiar, in a time that seems rife with chaos and tragedy, and the desire to have a life that feels purposeful and expansive, that is more than “just getting by.”
I work with folks to build a fuller, more meaningful life. Your road map is your own and what you desire for your life is uniquely your own. No two journeys are the same and, as a clinician, I stray away from the cookie-cutter approaches. I am here to meet you where you’re at and help you find meaning in a world that can often be overwhelming.
I see people impacted by the wide breadth of the human experience. Once we peel back those top layers, the ways we’ve learned to cope and regulate, we unearth themes that connect us all: identity, search for meaning and purpose, continuing to build our lives while holding the understanding that life is uncertain. We aren't meant to navigate this world alone.
