Hi, I’m Kate. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
(LCSW, LICSW) and offer trauma-informed, psychodynamic therapy
that is compassionate and affirming to people of all ages. I often
work with adolescents and young adults, those struggling with
relationship dynamics, and folks facing significant barriers to mental
wellness. I also often work with people navigating gender and sexuality issues. In addition to psychodynamic work, I utilize DBT, a modality designed to support people suffering with emotional overwhelm, self harm & other injurious behaviors, suicidal ideation and relational difficulties.
My practice draws from psychodynamic & behavioral approaches
using the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy framework. This means that
clients often reach out when they’re ready to explore their inner world
more deeply & understand the patterns that shape how they feel
& relate to others. We will use practical tools to help manage distress & build resilience.
