North Star Family Autism Center was founded to provide support to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their parents, siblings, or other caregivers as they navigate their experiences. Individuals with autism may need help managing challenges related to their diagnosis, as well as difficult feelings such as anxiety or sadness. Family members may have difficulty coping with the many emotions they experience while caring for an individual with autism. They may also struggle to understand autism and how best to help their child or sibling build communication skills or reduce challenging behavior.
Using therapeutic approaches guided by research, North Star offers family education, parent training, social support, and individual therapy for family members. To best support the entire family, North Star also provides diagnostic evaluations, educational assessments, and individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults with autism.
Our therapists aim to walk alongside individuals with autism and their family in their journey to build knowledge, coping skills, and confidence. Please reach out to learn how North Star Family Autism Center can support you.
