I am a Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) and IFS couple's therapist with 20 years and 20,000 hours of experience helping people of diverse backgrounds to navigate through dark times in their lives. I have REAL hope that people can overcome depression, calm anxiety, be transformed through grief, and find their peaceful center in the midst of over-stimulation and busyness. I love helping angry, estranged couples find connection and play again. I enjoy helping people find psychological relief in the presence of physical pain.
I am especially interested in research on the brain and utilize simple, evidence-based techniques to impact our neural-emotional circuitry, physical health, and relationships. I impart to my clients what I have gleaned -- through both my successes and failures as a wife and mother-- and help them apply it to their unique life situations.
As a former athlete, soccer coach, and trainer, I bring a unique emphasis on the importance of physical health and its contribution to overall mental, emotional, spiritual, and relational wellness. I utilize a holistic approach to treating the mind, body, and soul in counseling. I am fluent in Spanish.
