I have extensive experience (over 18 years) working with children and adolescents with attention and behavior problems, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum symptoms, social issues, learning and school-related issues, and adjustment problems. I believe collaborating with schools, family members and other treatment providers is an important component of comprehensive treatment. The relationship between a therapist and client is often one of the most important factors in change, so I work hard to put my clients at ease from the first session.
I use a warm, playful and interpersonal style in therapy. My approach to therapy is integrative in nature, with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral treatment. I teach my clients self awareness and specific social-emotional skills that increase their ability to cope with life's stressors.
