Welcome! Are you a young adult needing support? Or a parent needing additional parenting strategies, or guidance to better understand/support your child? Are you worried about your child/teen’s emotional well-being or social skills? I enjoy working collaboratively with children and parents alike to improve child and family well-being, often finding that working with both provides the best outcomes for everyone. I have special interests in working with gifted and twice-exceptional (2E) clients and homeschool/online school clients. Lastly I absolutely love working with teens and young adults - they make up a large part of my caseload!
My approach is strength-based, supportive, educational, evidence-based and solution-oriented. I am warm, direct, knowledgeable and practical. I help clients build insight and skills. I help parents to implement effective parenting strategies like positive behavior support and limit-setting, meanwhile working to enhance parent-child relationship quality.
I love working with teens, college students and young adults on issues related to social skills, social anxiety, self-esteem, emotional understanding and self-regulation, coping skills, relationship issues, school success, ASD, depression, anxiety, perfectionism, OCD and phobias. I also enjoy helping parents better understand and support their children.
