Scanning through this website trying to discern which therapist will be a good fit from a photograph and a blurb is tricky and also a sign of the times. Ideally less time is spent searching the web for answers and more can be spent with a person whose sole intention is to understand the complexities of your point of view, your experiences and facilitate you getting to where you want to go, while walking right along side you. Depression, anxiety, trauma, distorted relationship with food, difficulty being productive; these are all areas I feel confident I can help you with.
I like to work with people who are new to therapy and those who are coming back around to address new layers of issues already familiar to them. With a down-to-earth approach and solid background of excellent training I can offer a safe, stable place to heal/grow.
Something to consider: I am on-staff at an intensive psychiatric facility providing 4-5 day/week treatment to people in significant distress, recovering from profound trauma. With me you can feel confident that I won't be shocked or scared away by what has you perusing psychologytoday.com
