Hello! My name is Kat! I am a single mom to a beautiful daughter. In my motherhood journey I have faced and overcome many different obstacles, including being a teen mom. These experiences help me relate and truly resonate with moms I work with. Being a parent at any phase in life can be so challenging. Let's face it, no one is perfect! I truly believe that my own experiences have helped me to become a better therapist and it has led me to feel passionate about supporting other mommas and mommas to be!
In my professional work I have specialized primarily in adult mental health and addiction, but also have experience working with families and youth. My approach to therapy is empathetic and understanding. I utilize aspects from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
My hope is to create a space where you are able to grow and feel supported in any decision you make whether you are a parent, someone becoming a parent, someone who wants to be a parent, or someone who may be grieving a loss.
