About
My career started as a volunteer at a suicide prevention lifeline providing support for individuals in distress, and learned that being present for people in their most vulnerable times of need is one of the most humbling yet fulfilling services I could provide. I have worked with adolescents/young adults/families in residential care and university settings. I continued my professional growth in hospital settings as well. I work with clients experiencing various challenges including mental health, addiction, poverty, and community violence to name a few, and how these factors affected the client and family systems.
I primarily work with adolescents and young adults, and offer both individual, and family therapy. I have a client-centered, strengths-based approach in working with my clients to gain a better understanding of what may be contributing to the challenges they may be experiencing.
It is my goal to empower clients to explore and learn from the challenges they face, and to grow from these experiences. I collaborate with clients to build on their coping skills to reach their goals. I am trained in Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, and utilize motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy
