Hello and welcome! I am a passionate therapist aiming to create a strengthened connection between the mind and body. Our body often remembers before we do, which can cause our reactions to adversity and trauma to feel like an over-reaction. Understanding our body and the experiences stored within it is an important ingredient in working through stored emotions and memories.
Change can be difficult and overwhelming; Alan Watts once said, “The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.” I encourage you to make this journey yours, move with it and learn the dance that empowers you.
I offer a tailored, person-centered approach to therapy to aide in developing an understanding of your day-to-day successes and barriers. This information helps as we begin to integrate somatic-focused therapy and EMDR by giving me an idea on how your past may be showing up in your present day experiences, to begin moving stored experiences out of our body.
