In providing a client centered approach, this allows the individual the safety and confidence to build a trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship with me. I believe this helps the individual to engage freely in treatment while setting their own goals and allowing additional growth to take place.
I have been working as a mental health therapist for over 11 years within different areas of the mental health field which has allowed me to expand my clinical knowledge and skills in providing care to different populations. Treatment modalities include CBT, DBT, SFBT, MI and EMDR.
I believe that treatment needs to be driven by the client and their goals. It’s important that individuals tap into their own skills and strengths as it builds their confidence, empowers and helps them feel in control of their life. You know yourself best.
