I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Mediator in the state of Georgia, as well as a Certified Anger Management Professional and Certified Life Coach. With over 20 years of experience, I am dedicated to empowering adults and couples facing challenges with anxiety, anger, depression, and trauma to achieve success in every area of life. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science and my Master of Science in Counseling from National Louis University in Chicago, IL, and have pursued post-graduate studies in Organizational Psychology at Walden University in Minneapolis, MN.
My counseling approach is eclectic and collaborative, drawing on my experience of 8 years in mental health counseling within two psychiatric hospitals. In Illinois, I served as a Program Coordinator for a Dual Diagnosis inpatient unit, and in Georgia, I worked as an inpatient and outpatient Psychiatric Program counselor and facilitator.
I strive to build a warm, supportive relationship with you using a strength-based perspective, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused therapy. I also incorporate meditation, visualization, exercise therapy, and the arts to help bring deeper meaning and value to your life.
