My name is Karolina (she/her) and I’m so excited you are here and taking the step towards therapy, whether it’s your first time or you’re back for another go-around! Although I work with a wide range of challenges, I carry a particular interest in working with adults that present with relational issues, work stress, life transitions, and wanting to improve self-worth/self-compassion, as well as couples looking to increase intimacy, and better understand one another through their communication.
I received my BA in Applied Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). I then completed my graduate education and training at The Family Institute, where I received my MS in Marriage and Family Therapy at Northwestern University. My approach to therapy is direct, strengths-based, collaborative, and warm.
It’s important for me to create a space where you feel comfortable addressing your emotions and vulnerabilities. Therapy is not a "one size fits all" approach, so I will ensure to draw from different models to fit your specific needs.
