I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, teens, young adults and families struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, behavioral issues, mood disorders, daily life stressors, self-esteem, identity development and self-concept issues. I utilize a Cognitive-Behavioral approach with a client-centered focus to embrace the therapeutic relationship with clients.
I am a Registered Play Therapist and utilize play modalities with most clients. I have a big fluffy therapy dog named Maslow, I'd love to share how he can be part of your treatment. I have completed Level 1 and 2 trainings in Animal Assisted Play Therapy, through the International Association for Play Therapy.
I strive to foster a sense of safety and genuineness within the counseling relationship and the space. I believe in a strong mind-body connection within the individual and work with people to find healing through a holistic lens.
