Building Social Skills Groups
Texas Art & Play Therapies is proud to offer Building Social Skills Groups for boys and girls 6 - 13, separated by age and abilities. Group support and therapeutic intervention are used to help build friendships, learn and practice social skills, and build self-esteem while the group builds with Lego(r). (Children may draw if they do not like Legos(r). Groups are small with 4-6 children; a therapist leads the groups and may be assisted by an aid. The groups are for children who are bullied, shy, or who have ASD, ADHD, anxiety, or any child who would benefit from positive social experiences.
Building Social Skills
Building Social Skills Groups help children ages 6-12 learn and practice social skills in a safe, supportive, fun environment. Good Social Skills are one of the best indicators of future success. The small group format of 3 to 5 children is especially suited to children with Autism, ADHD, have anxiety, are shy, or for any child in need of positive social experiences. And it shows children that they can have fun without being on a device!
